not such a sunny day
but at least there was swell
its been three weeks of no waves and the first swell that arrived was a welcome sight indeed

i honestly am dumbstruck , had a million things to say and as i sit here my brain doest want to function , maybe my brain malfuctioned from swimming around for 5 hours in icy cold water while the first of many winter breezes cut through me or maybe it's knowing xams start in 5 days and there is swell upon swell making its way towards the coastline while i study genetics.maybe i should create a frankenstein mother f%^ker to write my xam for me , mmmmmm
cheers im of , gotta go build something........mwhaahahahaha

Swastikas! Getting this post to work has been a 20 minute nightmare. Sometimes the upload feature loses it's mechanical mind and tries to tempt you to throw your screen against the wall and smack your dog with the keyboard. Whatever. Them photo's are from way back in this year. We paddled around and hoped for some glory, which never really happened. We actually paddled a whole lot and got served quite often.
Spend another 10 mintues. This FFFFFFUAGURKIN thing has a way of destroying layouts and posting it like hellfire.
Hmm, actually going to kill rabbits and rainbows now.

Moves.
G'day Friends and foes. Winds are a pumpin in the Boland, waves are bogus and Uni is in full swing. Combining all of this in a bowl might make a lesser man buckle under the strain, fear not for I am strong and so is my writing hand. Hahaha. Jeepers, I wonder if anyone actually gives a fat donkey turd what people write on their blogs. Anyway lets talk some local bodyboarding. After giving the photos a glance I have come to the conclusion that me and Johno virtually invert the same. This is bad. Why is this bad? It means we are conditioned, anti-radicool, mainstream orientated bodyboarders. That is why it's bad. I'm going to claim I started first and that Johno is in actual fact copying me. Hahaha, this might leed to a heated debate, but let's have some photographic evidence.
On second thought, I now see they don't really look the same. Haha. All-the-same I really despise posting myself. I'm not sure how people run a personal blog, I'd get a vanity attack. This is me by-the-way. Werd.

This is Johno. Now there is someone I like posting, cozz I can burn his ass on the web! Woot. Anyway he got this wave at the end of the session, after about a 30 minute no-wave period. I was so stoked after seeing this that I paddled my way to shore.

And last, but certainly not least, is Party Animal Stefan Roos. Stefan has some prime real estate in >3ft waves. Hahahaha. As seen here. He also has a backflip he keeps in his body that would make you mother jealous, heck, I don't even look at him catch waves sub 3ft cozz I know he'zz goin to flip it and it's going to look better than everyone else's. Mad skills and one funny chap.
In non-relating news: I went to watch Watchmen last night, it was good. Zack Snyder makes such classy movies that I want to drool in the cinema's. A-grade story telling that makes you really feel involved with the story and face some moral dilema's within yourself. Roarshack has such a awesome script that I'm going to go print his lines now, haha. It is pretty hit and miss though and some folk are obviously not going to be able enjoy it (Cozz they are constipated, heehee).
Futhermore, I got the new A Day to Remember cd, Homesick, which I origanilly thought was pretty cool, but not as good as the previous 2. They are a pop/hardcory band, which means some super catchy lines backed up by some gutteral screamin. I like 'em 'cause it's super fun. This cd is quite a grower (grows on you), but it has some pretty hot darn bad songs which earn a instant skip. There are however 3 or 4 songs that keep you coming back for more and might 'cause you to sing (try) along, headbang on some rad breakdowns and just having fun with music in the air.
On a final not, VAT is a really complex matter, but I'm coming to grips with it. So don't you think that 14% on the price tags is just fun and games, oh no siree!

stoners
it's 4am and we meet at the fuel station to fill the tanks and get ready to hit the road, 2 of the lads are intoxicated with alcohol and the other 2 on the idea, pits of hell, destination The Horn
driving at high speeds trying to out run the break of dawn and absorbing the landscape we finally reach our first checkout point, siciciccccck, the conditions look perfect, big swell with a brisk offshore blowing
now the roads have change from smooth to rough, bouncing along the gravel keeping an eye on the ocean i realize it's summer , this high up the coast the predictions means absolutely nothing and the wind proves this by starting to dwadel between directions
The Horn is not showing any signs of producing what we traveled for this far, no worries travel further i know a place that loves dwadeling winds and hopefully this swell direction and size,
heheheheeeee
some of the crew still say this wave "dwadeling winds" must become a constant stop, it is absolutely nuts but the swell was just a lil too big for comfort so we move along further, no worry's friends i say, there is one more place to check, it's a beachbreack i have been sassing out but never surfed, and sure enough there was a wave, to be a hundred percent honest it didnt look that great from the checkout, the wind was a light onshore but the wave was still pushing through hard making bowls and the occasional tube lets surf they scream, look look look at that it's wedging, crazy what the desert sun and lack of sleep does to a man, it's now 3 in the afternoon and i was gonna take pictures even though the light was bad
this is what followed at the beachbreak , enjoi
jus quickly something about the photog, he's is 100 percent amateur and still misses alot of shots and is experimenting with angles and getting use to the manual settings, light levels and the works, but assures you the reader it will only get better, thanks for your understanding

he rips and you jus have to make peace with the fact, he loves to party and from what i gather cant even touch his toes, this proves shift focus reality has some merit

thanks to jose gonzalez for some peaceful vibes that made driving a joy

stefan roos did the biggest backflip ever out of this air bowl, and i missed it,
use your imagination plse people, it was huge
from this angle the light was a bit softer, and mister j mellish made the most of it and the freedom home schooling offersnow for a new character, adam morley
he rips and you jus have to make peace with the fact, he loves to party and from what i gather cant even touch his toes, this proves shift focus reality has some merit
this picture does not do this reverse any justice as it is one of the sickest i have witnessed, full rotation into the flats with a super soft landing all this with pure style, thank you very much
and here is something you might like, adam at it againthey claim this is one of the best beachbreaks they have ever surfed and cant wait for the ideal conditions to come together at a place they now refer to as stoners
thanks to jose gonzalez for some peaceful vibes that made driving a joy
